AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Otterbein University junior Marie McGinnis has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) women’s golfer of the week announced the league office Tuesday morning.

McGinnis, All-American Scholar and Academic All-OAC recipient last year, tied for sixth place at the Denison Invitational this past weekend at the Granville Golf Course.

She shot an 80 in round one and an 85 in round two (165) to post the lowest score among golfers representing an OAC institution at the event. Her efforts helped the Cardinal women finish third overall, which was the highest finish among the
OAC teams competing.

McGinnis and the Cardinals return to the links Saturday, Sept. 22 for round one of the Heidelberg Invite at the Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
