AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -
Adam Crider of the Otterbein University men's golf team was awarded Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Golfer of the Week accolades, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Crider, a senior from Cincinnati, turned in an impressive week of play on the course over three events and helped the Cardinals post two second-place finishes. Otterbein fell by two strokes in a dual match to cross-town rival Capital last Tuesday, where Crider posted an 80.
The Cardinals then wrapped up their sixth-consecutive OAC regular-season championship at the OAC Spring Invitational this past Thursday, as Crider shot a 114 (39-38-37) for a share of 10th-place. Otterbein finished second in the invite with a 450 to combine with its OAC Fall Invitational score of 308 to claim the title.
Crider rounded out the week with his most impressive performance, earning top-medalist honors after firing a 139 (71-68) at the Rosecrans-Maurer Invitational, hosted by Wittenberg. The Cards have finished in the top-two of the final standings at seven different invites this season.
Otterbein will enjoy an 11-day break before competing in the OAC Championships at River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio.
