Sanders Tennis Courts
The Richard Sanders courts are located behind left field of the baseball complex, and play home to a pair of accomplished men’s and women’s programs in recent history. Six NCAA regulation courts are situated inside the fence, with three in the front level and another three just behind to create a split area. Seating is available upon walking up and a large hill on the opposite site allows spectators to overlook all the action at once.
Richard "Dick" Sanders '29 was a varsity tennis player later attaining a high amateur status. He presents this Center as a memorial to his grandfather, Dr. T.J. Sanders, President of Otterbein from 1891-1901. Dedicated October 2000, the courts have been resurfaced several times, most recently in 2022, when new graphic windscreens were also installed.Â
Clements Field, formerly home to our soccer programs, is tucked back on the east side of the tennis courts and now used as extra practice space for many Cardinal teams.
