MEDIA POLICY

Photo / Video Credentials

Media and photo credentials for Otterbein athletic events should be requested at least 48 hours in advance to the Director of Athletic Communications, Marissa Smego (smego1@otterbein.edu). Photographers/videographers are asked to stay at least 10 feet from the playing surface and shoot from standard shooting positions. Flash photography is prohibited. Photographers must have a credential for access at Memorial Stadium and the Rike Center. Baseball, softball and tennis events must give 48 hours notice for a request to shoot.

At Memorial Stadium, photographers are allowed to shoot from the 30-yard line to the back of the end zone on both sides of the field. They're not allowed on the game field or at the bench areas during contests. Photographers may be on the sideline opposite of the team bench areas at soccer and lacrosse. Locker room access is prohibited.

At the Rike Center, photographers and videographers are allowed to shoot in the designated areas on the court. They're not allowed on the game court or in the bench areas during contests. Locker room access is prohibited.

All interview and photo requests must be coordinated through the athletics communications office. Credential issuance is at the discretion of the office and not all requests are guaranteed to be granted. Press box space and permission to broadcast must be requested through the office as well.

STATISTICS / LIVE STREAM

Real-time statistics will be provided for all home events. In order to access/follow "live stats" for AWAY contests, please go to the schedule page for the sport you are seeking and access those links. (Keep in mind that the host institution is responsible for scoring and that not all events feature live stats). Effective August 2025, Otterbein University and the Ohio Athletic Conference have entered a five-year media rights agreement with FloSports. For more information, please visit our FloSports page.
