The 2026-27 school year will be Lechnir's first year on staff at her alma mater. She was a part of the Otterbein women's volleyball team during her four years here and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May of 2026, receiving magna cum laude honors.
She was a part of the four-time OAC champion and NCAA qualifying team, winning the conference from 2022-25. She received Academic All-OAC accolades three times and was on the Dean's List every semester during her college years. She was also a co-host for the Otterbein Athletics Bird's Eye View Podcast her senior year. Lechnir was awarded Top Comeback Female Athlete at the Cardy Awards in the spring of 2026, following her injury that ended her junior season (2024) and followed into her senior season of volleyball (2025).
Lechnir also received the Bread and Roses Award her senior year, nominated by her coach, Monica Wright. This award is presented by the Otterbein Women's Forum and she was one of two student-athletes granted the award. She was granted the Dick Reynolds Leadership Award as well, an award given to a senior who has demonstrated service in both athletics and the community.
She is currently working towards her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is expected to graduate in the Summer of 2028.
