Otterbein University Athletics

Will Wismer recently finished his fifth season as an assistant coach at Otterbein University. He spent the first three seasons as a graduate assistant coach and has since been serving as part-time assistant.

He possesses lacrosse coaching experience among all age groups, from second-graders to high school seniors, while coaching at various camps and clinics.

A 2009 graduate of Wittenberg University, Wismer was a three-year starter at the defensive midfield position on the varsity men’s lacrosse team. He started 35 games over the course of his career. As a senior, Wismer received the coaches’ award for leadership and hard work on and off the field. He majored in English at Wittenberg.

As a defenseman in high school, in East Grand Rapids, Mich., Wismer earned all-state honors twice (2003-04) and was named to the 2004 U.S. Lacrosse All-America team.

Wismer received his master’s degree in teaching from Otterbein in the spring of 2012. He and his wife, Jenna, currently reside in Lewis Center.
