Burchfield, a freshman forward from Troy, turned in an impressive week in helping the women's soccer team register two important conference wins.
Otterbein trailed 1-0 as the final minutes began ticking away at Wilmington, but "Burch" drilled a shot from 35 yards to score at the 87:47 mark and force overtime. She then assisted on the game-winner in double overtime to help the Cards escape victorious.
Her week was far from done, however, as she converted a header off a corner kick in the 107th minute to give the team another 2-1, double overtime, win on Saturday against visiting Mount Union.
She was also named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week as a result of her performances.
Otterbein, now sitting in a four-way tie atop the league standings, has a pair of road matches at Marietta, Tuesday, and crosstown-rival Capital, Saturday, to finish out the regular season.
