Piper, a 5'11' All-American setter from Sunbury (Big Walnut), continued making Otterbein history over the weekend by becoming the school's all-time assist leader. Piper dished out an impressive 50 assists in a come-from-behind win over Capital, surpassing Brook Cann's 11-yeard old record of 3,229.
Piper finished the Capital match with a triple-double, registering 13 digs and 11 kills to acocmpany her 50 assists. Her 11 kills came with no errors on 18 attempts for a .611 hitting percentage.
She also helped the team to a three-set win over Marietta in the middle of the week, finishing with 36 helpers, eight digs, and five kills. Otterbein opens OAC Tournament action Tuesday by hosting John Carroll at 7 p.m.
