Ancona, a senior defender from West Chester (Lakota East), helped the women's soccer team play to a pair of home victories last week, out-scoring opponents 6-0.

Ancona, playing the full 90 minutes of action in both contests, helped anchor the defense and post shutouts against Hiram (2-0) and Heidelberg (4-0). In addition to her play in the back, she tallied the first goal of her college career by stepping in front an an attempted Heidelberg clear and deflecting it into the net.

As a result of her play, she was also voted the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
