Strimbu, a junior midfielder from Avon Lake, continued her tear through the Ohio Athletic Conference with three more goals on the week, running her season total to 12.
She came up huge in a come-from-behind win over Wilmington, forcing overtime with an equalizing goal in the 87th minute before burying the game-winning penalty kick in double overtime.
Strimbu then added an insurance goal during second-half action at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, a match Otterbein won, 2-0, to take over sole possession of first place in the league standings.
Strimbu and the Cardinals can lock up the OAC regular-season crown Wednesday evening with a win over visiting Marietta. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
