Hughes, a freshman forward from Bishop Watterson, turned in a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds (both game-highs) in the team's 77-72 victory at crosstown-rival Capital to start of the week. He was 10 of 16 from the floor in his 30 minutes of action.

Hughes finished the week with a 12-point effort against Heidelberg in the Rike Center, shooting 5 for 6, pulling down four boards and handing out three assists.
