Lindsey, a senior from Marion, got her 2016 season started on the right note with a notable performance at the Otterbein Track and Field Invitational.
The defending Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) champion, Lindsey easily won the pole vault by clearing 12-4 (3.76m) to set a new indoor school record and, most likely, already qualify herself for the NCAA Championships. She was more than a foot clear of the second-place finisher and, as a result, garnered OAC 'Field Athlete of the Week' honors.
Lindsey and the Cardinals will be back in action this coming weekend, traveling across town for the OAC South Split Meet at Capital University.
