Hughes, a sophomore from Columbus (Bishop Watterson), paced the men's basketball team in both games last week to help the squad go 1-1.

Hughes began with a career-high 28 points in a hard-fought 100-92 loss at Ohio Northern, shooting 11 of 16 from the field and also snagging six rebounds. He also had two steals in his 32 minutes of action.

Matt then carried Otterbein throughout a memorable 76-75 win over Muskingum to finish the week, going for 22 points and a game-high 10 rebounds to keep his team in the game. It was his first double-double of the year.
