Hernon, a junior from Hilliard Darby, turned in a solid week to help the baseball team win three of four games.

Hernon, filling in for injured catcher Mark Walton behind the plate, hit .600 over Otterbein's four games with nine hits in 15 at-bats. He hit safely in each game, tallying seven runs, six RBI, three doubles and one home run.

In addition to his bat, Hernon also stole two bases and played very well behind the plate defensively in catching all four games. He stopped multiple balls in the dirt and threw out a baserunner against Marian.
