Knox showed this past weekend at the NCAA Final Four why she has been considered one of, if not the top defender in the nation. Using the sensational play of goalkeeper Tara Carter behind her, Knox helped anchor a Cardinal defense that registered their 21st shutout of the season, blanking eventual national champion Hardin-Simmons over 110 minutes of play. The Gahanna native routinely limited Cowgirl All-American forward Amy Kuykendall as the match progressed, and then stepped up to bury the Cards' first penalty kick of the shootout. As a result of her efforts, she was selected to the NCAA All-Tournament team.
