Stepp, a junior quarterback from West Jefferson, becomes the first consecutive Otterbein Athlete of the Week recipient, earning the honor again after setting a new school record with 477 yards of total offense in the 45-38 win over Heidelberg.
Stepp completed 15 of 26 passes for 365 yards and three touchdowns, and then also rushed 20 times for another 112 yards to crush the previous single-game best of 394.
He helped his offense rack up 579 yards of total offense as a team, the most since the turn of the century, as Otterbein regained the Rhine River Cup for the first time since 2010. Stepp, who now leads the conference with 18 total touchdowns, was also voted OAC Offensive Player of the Week as a result of his efforts.
