Joseph, a junior wide receiver from New Philadelphia, came off an injury to catch six passes for an impressive 221 yards and two touchdowns in the 45-38 win over Heidelberg, helping Otterbein regain the Rhine River Cup for the first time since 2010.
Joseph hauled in wild touchdown receptions of 35 and 67 yards, reaching around a defender on a 4th and 11 play for his first score and then finishing the 67-yarder with a nice catch and run. The second TD, coming late in the third quarter, put Otterbein ahead for good.
Joseph's 221 receiving yards were the most for an Otterbein player since Ben Streby's school record of 244, set back in 1999.
