Lamb, a sophomore from Granville, turned in a blazing 9:46.76 in the 3,000 meters at Ohio State last week to break her own school record by 25 seconds. The time, which was good enough to hold off a pair of Buckeye runners and win the event, now ranks Lamb second in the nation.

Lamb then quickly turned around to compete at Kent State the following afternoon, delivering a 5:05 mile to finish seventh of 54 competitors.
