Wharton, a sophomore from Canal Winchester (Pickerington Central), earned Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after going 2-0 to help the men's tennis team beat Penn-State Behrend.

Wharton won 6-4, 6-2 at third singles and then teamed with Derek Krieger to edge out a 9-7 victory at No. 2 doubles. He is now 5-2 at third singles and 7-1 in dual doubles play.
