Shaw, a sophomore shortstop from Gahanna Lincoln, helped spearhead the softball team to its first-ever OAC Tournament championship over the weekend by hitting 7 for 13 with seven runs scored, two RBI, a double and a triple.

Shaw, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, and the Cardinals swept through the bracket to win three games by a combined score of 29-4. The program will make its first-ever NCAA appearance as a result.
