Hardgrove, a sophomore from Columbus (Walnut Ridge), matched a career-high with 16 tackles to go along with two critical interceptions in Otterbein's 49-42 rivalry win at Capital.

A first-year safety, he picked off a pass in the end zone during the first quarter, and then came up with a game-clinching interception inside the 15-yard line in the closing minutes of the game. He returned it 72 yards to erupt the Cardinal sideline and fans.

Hardgrove now leads the OAC in tackles per game (11) and interceptions (4).
