Kasper, a sophomore from Lexington, went a perfect 5-0 on the week and successfully defended his 197-pound championship at the Ohio Northern Invitational.

Kasper began with a 13-2 major decision in a dual against Mount Union, then followed by breezing through his bracket over the weekend at ONU. The path consisted of a 6-1 decision, 33-second pin, 23-6 technical fall and then an 11-5 triumph in the title match.

He now stands 12-2 this season and is ranked 11th nationally for his weight class.
