Frey, a sophomore from Hilliard, picked up his first two victories of the season on the mound this past week for the Cardinals. As a result, he was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. The 6'4" right-hander tossed a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 victory over Colby (ME) Thursday in Fort Myers, FL, allowing just four hits in the process. Frey then came on in relief Sunday to hold John Carroll off the scoreboard over the final 3.1 innings as the Cards earned a 10-9 victory in ten innings.. He surrendered just one hit and struck out five Blue Streaks.
