Bennett, a junior from Wadsworth, placed in three different events as the women's track team opened its season with a third-place finish at Capital Saturday afternoon. She finished second in the long jump with a mark of 17-9, good enough to rank as the fourth-longest jump nationally so far this season. Bennett also placed sixth in the 60-meter dash and helped the 4x200 meter relay team come in fourth with a time of 1:54.71.
