WESTERVILLE, Ohio- On a beautiful Sunday afternoon inside Memorial Stadium #24 Otterbein women's soccer (5-1-1) was able to get back on track in dominating fashion defeating Manchester (0-7) by a final score of 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Cardinals needed 11 minutes to find the back of the net on a Bella Shivley goal, but scored fast and often once the seal was broken.
  • Just six minutes later at 17:14 Delaney Earl found her way back into the scoring column beating her defender for an unassisted goal.
  • Three minutes later Katie Exline would send a shot into the upper right corner for the Cardinals, giving Otterbein the 3-0 advantage at the half.
  • The second half started with another Shivley goal at 57:03 giving the Cards a four goal advantage.
  • Manchester finally found the score board when Alexandra Parr was able to send a 30 yard shot over the head of Otterbein Goalie Alaina Reher.
  • The Cards would then answer with three straight goals coming from Shivley, Exline and Grace Dunaway.
  • Manchester capped off the scoring when Amaya Sunderman found herself ahead of the pack one-on-one with the new Cardinal goalie Emma Spinner, and finished low and away to give the Spartans their second goal of the afternoon.
