CHAGRIN FALLS – The Otterbein men's tennis team wrapped up its 2025 regular season Friday, taking a 6-1 win over Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll while playing indoors at Chagrin Valley Athletic Club, and securing the No. 2 seed heading into next week's OAC Tournament.

The Basics: 

• Records: Otterbein (14-8 overall, 3-1 OAC), John Carroll (3-10 overall, 1-3 OAC)

Singles

• #1: Junior Max Fickas won 6-3, 6-1 over Anthony Markello.
• #2: Freshman Sanjan Shanker won 6-4, 6-3 over Dylan Westmeyer.
• #3: Sophomore Neil Reddy won 6-3, 6-4 over Griffin Millspaugh.
• #4: Sophomore Jake Chilcote fell 2-6, 7⁷-6⁵, 5-10 to Phillip Gorun.
• #5: Sophomore Nikita Kitaev won 6-2, 6-1 over Luis Wentz.
• #6: Senior Will Newberry won 6-1, 6-1 over Jack Sigler.

Doubles

• #1: Fickas and Reddy fell 4-6 to Markello and Westmeyer.
• #2: Chilcote and Newberry won 7⁷-6¹ over Millspaugh and Wentz.
• #3: Kitaev and Shanker won 6-0 over Gorun and Sigler.

• Tenth-year head coach Tyler Stephen is 111-68 during his tenure leading the men's tennis team at Otterbein.
• Newberry (15-5), Chilcote (13-10) and Kitaev (13-12) lead the Cardinals in singles wins on the season.
• Newberry leads the team in doubles victories on the year with a 16-7 record.
