Robey, Glenn score 4 goals each as Women's Lacrosse falls to Ohio Northern

WESTERVILLE — Junior Ava Robey and sophomore Alyssa Glenn scored four goals each to lead the Otterbein women's lacrosse team in a 15-10 loss to Ohio Northern in Ohio Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night.

Game Highlights
  • First Quarter: Robey scored just 11 seconds into the game, but the Polar Bears came back with two unanswered goals. Glenn tallied a man-up goal on an assist from Robey with 10:34 left and added another score assisted by Robey to answer an ONU goal, tying the score at 3-3. The Polar Bears scored the next two goals before the Cardinals capped the scoring in the period with a goal from Glenn for her third of the game with 36 seconds remaining to send Otterbein into the second trailing 5-4.
  • Second Quarter: The Cardinals took a 6-5 lead with two goals to start the second quarter. Williams scored on an assist from Robey, and Chappell gave the Cardinals the lead with 10:58 left. ONU scored two unanswered goals to take a 7-6 lead into halftime.
  • Third Quarter: The Polar Bears outscored the Cardinals 7-1 in the third period to take a 14-7 lead into the fourth. Otterbein's lone goal came from Robey with 12:16 left, making the score 9-7.
  • Fourth Quarter: The Cardinals outscored the Polar Bears 3-1 over the final 15 minutes, getting all three goals from Robey.
  • Key Team Stats: ONU out-shot Otterbein by a 26-23 margin, and the Cardinals finished with a 16-14 edge in ground balls. ONU won 17 of the 29 draw controls. Otterbein had 20 turnovers to 21 for Ohio Northern.
