TIFFIN, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team used a late offensive surge to defeat Heidelberg 1-0 in conference play Wednesday evening on the road.

The Cardinals were awarded a penalty kick in the 67th minute of play. Cat Szasz capitalized on the penalty kick by burying it in the far right side of the net to give Otterbein the 1-0 lead they used to outlast the host.

Isabella Neal spent all 90 minutes in goal for Otterbein and turned away all five shots on frame in her time between the posts.

High off their 1-0 win, women's soccer brought their high energy to Seiberling to cheer on the Otterbein volleyball team in their five-set win over the Student Princes.

The Cardinals return to their home turf next to host Ohio Northern in a 4 p.m. conference matchup on Saturday.
