Glenn, Swope recognized with Athlete of the Week honors

WESTERVILLE – Izaac Swope and Alyssa Glenn have earned OAC Athlete of the Week honors in their respective sports, as announced on Monday afternoon. Swope claimed the men's track award, as Glenn was named the women's lacrosse defensive recipient.

Swope earns his second Athlete of the Week award after winning the 60m hurdles at Saturday's All-Ohio Indoor Championships. He ran a personal-best time of 8.16 in the preliminaries before winning the finals with a time of 8.25. The 8.16 time sits Swope 16th nationally in Division III and ranks him first in the OAC. The indoor track and field teams will be in action Friday at the OWU Tune-Up, their last competition before the OAC Championships.

Glenn enjoyed a milestone day Saturday, scoring her 100th career goal in Otterbein's 19-7 win at Transylvania. Defensively, the junior caused a team-high four turnovers and picked up four ground balls to go along with her three goal, two assist performance. The Cardinals will host Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest in their home opener.
