GAMBIER, OHIO – The Otterbein women's tennis team fell to No. 16-ranked Kenyon Saturday afternoon in a 7-0 loss. This marked the opening of the 2026 spring season.
Kenyon controlled the doubles section to begin as
Niya Bell and
Taryn Simmers joined to play on the top line, before succumbing 6-1.
Breanna Ball and
Raina Smith also snagged a pair of games at second doubles but also registered a 6-1 final score.
Molly Jones played the best set amongst the Cardinals in a 6-1, 6-1 loss in the No. 4 flight to Maya Stolarsky. Ball fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and Bell fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3. Simmers at No. 2 and Smith at No. 5 both fell 6-0, 6-1.
The women return to action again next Friday (February 13)
when they host Asbury University (Ky.) at 3 p.m.
