WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The Otterbein women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 37 Ohio Northern on Friday afternoon at the Otterbein Tennis Courts.
Ohio Northern secured the doubles point with wins at all three positions, taking No. 1 and No. 3 by 6-2 scores and No. 2 by a 6-1 margin.
In singles play, Otterbein competed across all six flights against the nationally-ranked Polar Bears. Breanna Ball (No. 1) and Taryn Simmers (No. 2) faced top-of-the-lineup opponents, while Niya Bell (No. 3) and Caitlin Pennington (No. 4) continued action through two sets at their respective positions.
Molly Jones added a 6-2, 6-2 result at No. 5, and Raina Smith delivered the most competitive outing of the day at No. 6, extending the second set before falling 7-5.
Otterbein will continue conference play on the road in Columbus, Ohio, facing Capital on April 22 at 4 p.m.
