Otterbein Exits OAC Tournament Following Tight Loss to BW

BEREA, Ohio – In a hard-fought battle against Baldwin Wallace, the No. 3 seeded Otterbein University women's lacrosse team bowed out of the OAC Tournament in an 11-9 loss to the Yellow Jackets.

Freshman Leela Henry led all players with five points, coming off a three goal, two assist performance.

Baldwin Wallace was explosive from the jump, surging to a 5-0 lead after one period. In the second quarter, the story was all Otterbein as the Cardinals would close the gap to one goal before the break. Alyssa Glenn got the scoring started and was followed by Ava Robey less than five minutes into the second. Henry added the final two of the quarter, seeing BW take a 5-4 lead into halftime.

BW netted two quick goals out of the half to extend the lead to 7-4. As Otterbein continued to cut into the lead, the Cardinals could not find the tying goal throughout the second half. Despite Dakota Klein's goal with 2:05 remaining to put the visitors within a goal, the Yellow Jackets were able to fend off Otterbein for the remainder of the contest before burying the game-sealing goal in the waning seconds.

Robey and Glenn each scored a pair of goals in the loss. Henry, Karley Gerst and Bailey Wallace each caused two turnovers. With 97 points, Robey sits second in a single-season in program history and leaves Otterbein as the program's all-time leader in points (286).

The Cardinals conclude the 2026 season with a 10-7 overall record and finished third in the OAC regular season.
