MASON, OHIO - The Otterbein men's tennis team saw its postseason run come to an end on Saturday, falling 4-0 to Ohio Northern in the OAC Championship match held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears claimed the opening doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. At the No. 3 spot,
Neil Reddy and
Sanjan Shanker dropped a 6-3 decision to Noah Ehret and Kessler Hackenberger. Ohio Northern then sealed the doubles point at No. 2, where Aiden Yeager and Ethan Remy defeated
Max Fickas and
Halen Hamstead, 6-2.
Ohio Northern carried its momentum into singles play, winning three matches to clinch the team victory. At No. 6 singles, Nick Miller earned a 6-1, 6-0 win over Hamstead.
Neil Reddy fell at No. 5 to Kessler Hackenberger by set scores of 6-1 and 6-0. The match was sealed in the top spot where
Sanjan Shanker fell by identical scores of 6-2 to Aiden Yeager.
The Cardinals advanced to the OAC Championship for the second-straight season and conclude their 2025-26 season with a 7-10 overall record.
