Women's tennis comes up short in championship match

MASON, Ohio – On Saturday, the Otterbein University women's tennis team saw its season come to a close with a 4-0 loss to No. 40 Ohio Northern in the OAC Tournament Championship match. 

The Polar Bears quickly secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. ONU defeated Raina Smith and Breanna Ball, 6-0 and Caitlin Pennington and Molly Jones, 6-1. Ohio Northern was able to pick up wins at No. 3, 5 and 6 singles, winning the match early. 

After winning the OAC Semifinal match yesterday by a thrilling 4-3 score, the Cardinals see their 2025-26 campaign come to a close with a 6-10 overall record, finishing second in both the OAC regular season and tournament.
