WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team fell to Wittenberg, 2-1, Tuesday evening at Memorial Stadium.

Olivia Brooks hit the only target of the first half at the 5:15 mark with an unassisted goal to the right side of the net. The junior capitalized on a loose ball and buried a shot past the Tiger keeper to put the Cardinals on the board. 

Wittenberg tied things up on a goal within the first few minutes into the final half of play before prevailing on a penalty kick goal in the 80th minute to pull ahead. Otterbein had late corner kick opportunities, but could not find the equalizer. 

Isabella Neal made two saves for the Cardinals in 90 minutes of play. 

The Cardinals led the Tigers in shots (16-5) and corner kicks (10-5). 

Otterbein hits the pitch next this Saturday to take on Hanover at home. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
