Danie Heinz

  • Title
    Valorant Coach
Danie Heinz enters her first season as Valorant coach for Otterbein after graduating from Valparaiso in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Heinz brings a unique combination of analytical thinking and strategic leadership to the program, developed through her academic background and hands-on experience in competitive Esports. During her time at Valparaiso, she was an active member of the university’s Esports community—serving as team captain, assisting with team coordination, and contributing to program development. While at Valparaiso, Heinz helped support day-to-day operations of the Esports program, including match preparation, VOD review, and community engagement. She also worked alongside coaches and staff to enhance player development and foster a competitive, inclusive environment. Her time in the program emphasized team-building, mentorship, and the integration of data-driven performance strategies. Outside of Esports, Heinz currently works at American Renolit Corporation, where she applies her technical background in biomedical engineering to real-world challenges in sustainable manufacturing. Her multidisciplinary skillset makes her a valuable asset in both the competitive and professional arenas.Â
