Brian Booher serves as head coach for both programs and now holds more than a decade of experience at Otterbein, coming aboard in 2013 to lead the women before also assuming the helm of the men's program shortly thereafter.
A 3x OAC Coach of the Year recipient on the women's side, Booher has kept the Cardinals competing for a league title every year since joining the fold in fall of 2013. Since that inaugural season, Booher has led the team to three Ohio Athletic Conference titles (2015, 2022, 2023) and subsequent berths in the NCAA Championships, with many other narrow runner-up finishes in the league.
He has also helped the women's program collect four individual medalist winners at the OAC Championships in Marie McGinnis (2014), Bailey Pontius (2015), Ann Jobko (2017) and Lyndsay Blum (2022).
Booher also took over as head coach of the men's golf program in the summer of 2014 and has continued to add to the program's historic success. Having guided the group to seven of the last eight OAC Championships, Booher has boosted the program's OAC title count to 24 over the last 32 years (* no event in 2020 due to COVID). He is a 7x OAC Coach of the Year on the men's side (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024) and keeps the Cardinals a known competitor across the Division III national landscape.
He has helped guide four of the past six OAC individual champions in Kurt Fortman (2018), Sam Marty (2019), Coury Rogers (2021) and Ian Johnston (2024).
