David Monaco

David Monaco enters his second season as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's golf programs.

A recent 2016 graduate of Otterbein, Monaco enjoyed a stellar career for the men's golf team by helping guide the program to three Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) titles and three ensuing appearances in the NCAA Division III Championships (2013, 2015, 2016).

A four-time all-conference performer, Monaco ran away from the field as a senior to capture OAC medalist honors by a commanding 13 shots. He was 10-under par while the second-place finisher was +3.

Monaco, a six-time OAC Player of the Week throughout his career, and the Cardinals ended the 2016 spring season with their highest national finish in a decade, coming in seventh at the NCAA's. A biology major, he was a two-time Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar, a six-time tournament winner and finished top-50 nationally in stroke average as a junior and senior.

A Westerville native, Monaco capped his undergraduate career as Otterbein's male receipient of the OAC Clyde Lamb Award, presented annually to the top male and female senior student-athletes at each of the ten institutions.
