Max Hoffman

Max Hoffman begins his second year as a graduate assistant coach for both the Otterbein cross country and track and field programs.

Hoffman, a 2020 Otterbein grad, enjoyed a strong career for the Cardinals after initially transferring in from Xavier. The distance standout was part of two Ohio Athletic Conference championship teams, becoming a 2x first team All-OAC performer after finishing third and sixth, respectively.

He also delivered a pair of All-Great Lakes Region honors (sixth place both times) while helping Otterbein qualify for back-to-back NCAA Championships in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Louisville, Ky.

Hoffman was also the OAC Outdoor champion in the 10,000 meters when Otterbein hosted the meet in the spring of 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys karate and local hot dog eating contests.

A history and political science major as an undergrad, Hoffman is now working toward a master's degree in allied health administration.
