Sarah Burnell begins her first season as assistant coach for men’s and women’s cross country and track and field at Otterbein.

A native of Grinnell, Iowa, Sarah graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Grinnell College in 2014. There, she was a four-time national qualifier between track and cross country, and a two-time All-American. 

Sarah comes to Otterbein from Grinnell where she spent three seasons (2014-16) as a distance and mid-distance assistant coach for the Grinnell College track and field/cross country programs. 

She is currently working full time at Otterbein as the assistant director of alumni relations.
