Jon Garrison


Jon Garrison begins his second year as graduate assistant coach for the Otterbein University Wrestling program.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Garrison was a state place for Copley High School before going on to enjoy a successful career at the University of Mount Union. He was a four-year letterman and starter for the Purple Raiders at 157 pounds, compiling an overall record of 106-40 en route to becoming a three-time NCAA qualifier.

Garrison eventually finished as a two-time All-American at Mount Union in addition to being an NCAA Mideast Regional champion. He also performed well in the classroom, receiving Scholar All-American honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association while earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Garrison, who worked as a Probation Officer for Morrow County before coming to Otterbein, will be working towards his master’s in business administration.
