Jake Sherer begins his third year as an assistant athletic trainer at Otterbein in 2023.
 
Sherer, with Ohio Health for the past three years, was previously the head athletic trainer at Mansfield Senior High School. He majored in exercise science at nearby Mount Vernon Nazarene (class of 2017) before going on to earn a master’s of science in athletic training from Weber State in 2019.
 
Sherer completed his graduate thesis on the affects of ankle taping/spatting in regards to knee kinematics and serious injuries.
