Dr. Joseph Wilcox is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He has received extensive training in the operative and non-operative treatment of a wide variety of sports medicine injuries.

He has a strong interest in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, and he specializes in state of the art treatment of cartilage injuries and conditions.

He attended Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio, and received an appointment to the United States Military Academy, where he was a member of the Army Varsity football team. He transferred after an injury to the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with honors.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. During subsequent fellowship training at The Ohio State University, he cared for numerous Division I varsity athletes within a range of sports, including football, basketball, wrestling and swimming.

In addition to caring for other high school and collegiate teams across Columbus, Dr. Wilcox has served as the orthopedic consultant to Otterbein University for many years.
