Cummings, a freshman sprinter from Cincinnati (Finneytown), kicked off her Otterbein career with a solid debut at Capital's Purple and White Invitational last Friday.

Cummings finished second out of 21 competitors in the 60-meter dash, running a time of 7.91 seconds in the finals. She was also a member of the winning 4x200 relay team that registered a time of 1:54.21. The Cardinals finished third at the event as a team.

Otterbein will be off until January 17 when it hosts its own invitational inside the Clements Center.
