Sandvik, a sophomore from Westerville North, faired well in the first 6K-race of her Otterbein career over the weekend after missing last cross country season (transferred in the winter).

She finished second out of 219 runners to help the Cards win the Otterbein Invitational for a third-straight year, posting a time of 23:05.9 to hold off teammate Claire Lamb in third. Sandvik averaged 6:11 per mile.

The Cards will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 30 at the All-Ohio Championships.
