Cannon, a junior forward from Johnstown (Monroe H.S.), turned in a career week in helping lead the women's basketball team to victories over Capital and Muskingum. Cannon tallied a career-high 18 points in the Capital, win, helping the Cardinals gain control of the third spot in the conference standings. She then turned around to set a new career-high of 20 points in Saturday's victory over Muskingum. She also pulled down 14 rebounds over the two games in an average of just 23.5 minutes per outing. For her efforts, she was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
