Box Score ADA, Ohio – The Otterbein University women's basketball team came up short on the road Wednesday evening, suffering an 82-54 loss at the hands of league-leading Ohio Northern University.

Ohio Northern improves itself to 14-4 overall and 10-1 against the league, vaulting ahead of 19th-ranked John Carroll University atop the OAC standings after the Blue Streaks were upset in overtime at Heidelberg.
The Polar Bears opened strong, holding Otterbein scoreless over the opening five minutes to build a 13-0 lead. The Cardinals finally countered with a nice 16-3 spurt of their own to tie the game, which included a pair of three-pointers from Cheyenne Hartley-Carr and three makes at the free-throw line from Mary Corbett after she was fouled shooting beyond the arc.
Otterbein trailed by just two, 27-25, after another trey from Hartley-Carr with 6:20 remaining before the break, but the Polar Bears closed the half on a 16-3 run to take a double-digit lead into intermission.
Ohio Northern took control for good early in the second half, slowly but surely extending the lead past 20 and coasting to victory.
Freshman Abby Miduri led Otterbein with 13 points while Hartley-Carr finished with nine. Point guard Chelsea Reed handed out a game-high six assists, surpassing 400 for her career.
