WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team extended its winning streak to double digits by defeating Wilmington, 4-0, Tuesday night at Memorial Stadium.

The Cardinals have now won 10-consecutive matches and improve to 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). Wilmington drops to 8-6 overall, 2-4 in the OAC.
Otterbein scored first in the 27th minute, as Delaney Earl took a pass from Priscilla Severance on the far side of the pitch and finished on the left side of the net.

The Cardinal attack saw multiple chances before the break, but were unable to build their lead and held a 1-0 edge after 45 minutes. Otterbein controlled the possession and owned an 11-2 advantage in shots.

Otterbein came out of the locker room ready by scoring three goals in the second half. The first goal came by Severance in the 52nd minute, as Annie Mosca danced around a couple of Wilmington defenders before finding the sophomore forward for her fourth goal of the year.

Bella Shivley then registered her team-high 13th goal of the year off an assist from Cassidy Nicol just a few minutes later. Shivley, who has recorded a point in eight of the last nine matches, placed the ball perfectly in the upper-left corner to give a the Cards a 3-0 lead and pull within one goal of matching the Otterbein single-season record.

The final goal came off a set piece, as Holly Bernhold attempted a corner kick in the 77th minute and found Hayley Hotchkiss open in the box. The hometown product had no problem finishing the play, scoring her second goal of the season.

Otterbein totaled 30 shots, 19 on goal, compared to three by Wilmington and posted a 13-3 edge in corner kicks.

With the victory, Otterbein is currently on the program's longest-winning streak since 2010 when the Cardinals made the NCAA Final Four and tallied 16-straight wins. The Cards did have a 12-match unbeaten streak during the 2014, which had one draw sandwiched in.

The Cardinals will put their streak on the line Saturday afternoon, heading to New Concord for a battle with Muskingum at 4 p.m.
