WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's soccer team honored its five seniors Saturday afternoon en route to a 5-1 victory over Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opponent Muskingum at Memorial Stadium.

Erick Juarez-Manning,
Toby Varland,
Bryan Luckscheiter and
Juan Rivas were all recognized before the game for their time dedicated to the Otterbein soccer program.
The Cardinals (7-6 overall and 4-3 in the OAC) had two prime opportunities before the break, as
Eric Stucky found
Kennedy Mensah open in the box. Mensah took a shot at goal, but goalkeeper Josh Routte saved the shot keeping the game tied at 0-0.
Otterbein made another attempt in the 44th minute, as Stucky ripped a shot from just inside the box, where Routte once again made the save.
The second half would be all Otterbein tallying a season-high five goals. Stucky started the scoring action in the 54th minute, by finishing a header in the top-right corner off a cross from
Zach Barwick.
Stucky added to his point total finding
Kohei Adams open in the box and increased the Cardinal lead to two goals.
Muskingum (5-11 overall, 0-7 in the OAC) would answer in the 65th minute, as Drew Wise attempted a free kick from just outside the box, the shot would deflect off an Otterbein defender giving Muskingum its first goal.
Otterbein responded in a timely fashion two minutes later, as
Erick Juarez-Manning found Stucky off a corner kick.
Less than 30 seconds later,
Pau Piang joined in on the scoring action as he ripped a shot from just inside the box in the upper-right corner to give Otterbein a 4-1 lead.
The final Cardinal goal came from freshman
Kamal Mohammed in the 79th minute, as Juarez-Manning crossed the ball into the box and Mohammed had a soft touch on the ball finishing in the lower corner.
Otterbein earned three crucial points in the OAC standings, as they now sit with 12 total points and will wait to see where they sit in the conference following the 7 p.m. games.
The Cardinals will host Ohio Northern on Wednesday night inside of Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.
