TEAM STANDINGS
MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Otterbein wrestling team took a seventh-place finish Saturday in the Mid-States Tournament at Manchester University as it continues prepping for the upcoming NCAA Regionals.
The Cardinals send a handful of competitors to the event, getting eight placers headlined by a fourth-place result from freshman
Bryce Hessler at 174 lbs. He was joined in the weight class by
Hunter Stoffer and
Sam Shalvey.
Sophomores
Donny Didion (184) and
Chris Martinez (285) earned fifth-place finishes while freshmen
Christian Koch (165) and
Bradley Minnard (184) wrestled to seventh in their respective divisions. Rounding out the placers was
Luke Hess, who took eighth at 197 pounds.
Wabash won the event with 330 points, and will next serve as host of the upcoming NCAA Regionals inside its Knowling Fieldhouse on February 23-24. Otterbein had three all-region performers last year and will look to build on the experience this time around.
